Sunday 1st December
All Age service
St Jozef Church, Moorsel
Welcome
Grace, mercy and peace
from God our Father
and the Lord Jesus Christ
be with you
and also with you.
Opening Prayer
Lord Jesus,
Thank you that you first came to us as a baby in a stable.
Come amongst us now through the power of your Holy Spirit,
and prepare us for that day when you will come again,
in your great majesty and glory.
Amen
Song
Come set Your rule and reign
In our hearts again
Increase in us we pray
Unveil why we're made
Come set our hearts ablaze with hope
Like wildfire in our very souls
Holy Spirit come invade us now
We are Your church
We need Your pow'r in us
We seek Your kingdom first
We hunger and we thirst
Refuse to waste our lives
For You're our joy and prize
To see the captives' hearts released
The hurt the sick the poor at peace
We lay down our lives for heaven's cause
We are Your church
We pray revive this earth
Build Your kingdom here
Let the darkness fear
Show Your mighty hand
Heal our streets and land
Set Your church on fire
Win this nation back
Change the atmosphere
Build Your kingdom here we pray
Unleash Your kingdom's pow'r
Reaching the near and far
No force of hell can stop
Your beauty changing hearts
You made us for much more than this
Awake the kingdom seed in us
Fill us with the strength and love of Christ
We are Your church
We are the hope on earth

Song
The world is searching for an answer
A ray of hope in a hopeless world
Who can we turn to
Where is our rescue
There is someone he's the answer
He's the light and he'll light the way
His name is Jesus and he came to save us
He is the light light light
Light of the world
And he shine shine shines
All over the earth
Shining bright bright bright
He is the light of the world
Oo-woh-oh oo-woh...

Confession
Let us return to the Lord our God and say to him:
Father, we have sinned against heaven and against you.
We are not worthy to be called your children.
We turn to you again.
Have mercy on us,
bring us back to yourself
as those who once were dead
but now have life through Christ our Lord. Amen.
May the God of love and power
forgive us and free us from our sins,
heal and strengthen us by his Spirit,
and raise us to new life in Christ our Lord. Amen.
Song
I'm feeling good good
Good in a crazy way
God's love changed me more than I can say
Can't keep this in gotta let it out
Gonna tell the whole world that
Your love is spinning me round and round
Yeah it's turnin' me upside down
I can't believe the way you
Love me more than I can contain
I'm gonna turn around and
Give give give it away
Uh-oh Oh-oh-woh
Uh-oh-oh I'm gonna give it away
I want the world to know just how I feel
They've gotta know know
Know your love is real
You love me just the way I am
Gonna tell the whole world that
Uh-oh Oh-oh-woh
Uh-oh-oh
I'm gonna give it away

Affirmation of faith
Let us declare our faith in God.
We believe in God the Father,
from whom every family
in heaven and on earth is named.
We believe in God the Son,
who lives in our hearts through faith,
and fills us with his love.
We believe in God the Holy Spirit,
who strengthens us
with power from on high.
We believe in one God;
Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
Song
Light of the world
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes let me see
Beauty that made
This heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with You
So here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me
King of all days
Oh so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came
To the earth You created
All for love's sake became poor
And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross
And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross

Prayer of Preparation
Most merciful Lord,
your love compels us to come in.
Our hands were unclean,
our hearts were unprepared;
we were not fit even to eat the crumbs from under your table.
But you, Lord, are the God of our salvation,
and share your bread with sinners.
So cleanse and feed us
with the body and blood of your Son,
that he may live in us and we in him;
and that we,
with the whole company of Christ,
may sit an eat in your kingdom.
Amen.

Let us listen and we will hear.
Sharing communion
Songs during communion
When the music fades
all is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
something that's of worth
That will bless Your heart
I'll bring You more than a song
For a song in itself
is not what You have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart
I'm coming back to the heart of worship
And it's all about You all about You Jesus
I'm sorry Lord for the thing I've made it
When it's all about You all about You Jesus
King of endless worth
no one could express
How much You deserve
Though I'm weak and poor
all I have is Yours
Ev'ry single breath
Matt Redman ©1997 Thankyou Music
All who are thirsty
All who are weak
Come to the fountain
Dip your heart in the stream of life
Let the pain and the sorrow
Be washed away
In the waves of His mercy
As deep cries out to deep
(We sing)
Come Lord Jesus come
Come Lord Jesus come
Come Lord Jesus come
Come Lord Jesus come
Holy Spirit come
Holy Spirit come
Holy Spirit come
Holy Spirit come
As deep cries out to deep
As deep cries out to deep
As deep cries out to deep we sing
Come Lord Jesus Come,
Holy Spirit Come

Your kingdom come, your will be done
On earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.

Church family news
Offertory prayer
God of all goodness and grace,
receive the gifts we offer;
and grant that our whole life may give you glory and praise;
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Song
God's saints of old through history told
Of the One who was to come
A Son a King a Lamb to be slain
For the sins of all the world
He's the Promise of the Ages
Lifted up to save us
Jesus Christ our sacrifice
He's the Fount of living water
King and Friend forever
Bow before the Promise of the Ages
In flesh He came yet chose to remain
With the outcast and the poor
He bled He died was raised glorified
Now He lives forever more
Lift your hands and sing hallelujah to the
King of all the earth
Raise your voice and sing hallelujah to the
King of all the earth
How long until the earth will be filled
With the knowledge of the Lord
When He shall come when nations and tongues
Will be joined in glorious song

Closing Prayers
Fill us, good Lord,
with your Spirit of love;
and as you have fed us
with the one bread of heaven,
so make us one in heart and mind,
in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Go from here knowing that Jesus,
our Lord and Saviour will return one day.
Be ready to welcome Him!
And the blessing of God Almighty,
the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
be among you and those whom you love
this day and forever more.
Amen
